A room, a part load, one thing that will not fit in a car. In a borough this dense it is the most-asked-for service we run — and the one where turning up prepared matters most.
East Ham runs on small moves. Shared houses turning over a room at a time, students arriving and leaving, couples moving in together, someone buying a wardrobe off Marketplace in Ilford and having no way to get it home.
None of that needs a removal lorry and a four-person crew. It needs a van, a couple of us, and someone who has already worked out where to park.

The E6 specifics
Parking first, always. Most Newham streets are permit-controlled and the bays are full by mid-morning. For a small job a suspension is rarely worth arranging, so the answer is usually timing — early, before the street fills up — and knowing which side roads off the main routes have a legal loading window.
Then stairs. Converted flats above shops on High Street North, third-floor walk-ups in split terraces, and low-rise blocks where the lift is small. We ask which floor and what the heaviest thing is, because those two answers set the price more than the distance between the addresses does.
Month-ends
Worth saying plainly: the last few days of any month are the crush in this borough, because that is when tenancies end. If your date is flexible, the middle of the month is easier and quicker. If it is not, book earlier than feels necessary.
Booking one
Send both addresses, the floor at each end, the biggest item and roughly how much there is. If it is hard to describe, four photos on your phone will do it — faster than a paragraph and considerably more accurate.
Outgrown it? Flat removals or house removals will suit better, and we will say so if we think you have.
Man and van questions
One man or two?
Decided by the heaviest item and the stairs, not the number of boxes. A desk and some bags is one. A sofa bed off a third-floor landing is not, and sending one person would waste everyone's morning.
Do you do HMO room moves?
Constantly — it is probably the single most common job we do in E6. One room, often at a month-end, often at short notice. We price it as the small job it is rather than as a mini removal.
Can you collect from a shop or a marketplace seller?
Yes. Furniture shops, trade counters, someone's flat in Barking. If there is a collection window or a reference, put it in the notes so we build the run around it rather than arriving outside their hours.
Will you help carry?
We carry — that is the service, not an extra. What we will not do is attempt something that genuinely needs lifting kit with two people and optimism. We will say so and suggest the right answer.
Is it right for a whole flat?
For a studio or a small one-bed, often yes. Past that you are better off with a proper flat removal, and we will tell you so rather than doing it in three van-loads and charging you for the time.
